Hello all. I am heading up this new initiative at the JCC in Springfield, Mass and it's actually happening across the country at other JCCs and is now open to the public. Figured it would be nice to post on the Cafe and see if more people want to join. If you do, when you go in to register, you will be asked to choose a Region where you live and then a JCC that's in that area to be tied to for the Challenge. If your region is not listed, or if you don't really mid where you're affiliated with for this leage and Challenge, please feel free to check off NorthEast for region and Sprinfield JCC for the Center. Thanks. The cost is $50 per team and there are some REALLY COOL prizes (see below). If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at jccffcspringfield@gmail.com. This JCCs of North America Fantasy Football Challenge is now open to the public!

If you consider yourself to be a good fantasy football player, there is now a new challenge in front of you – an opportunity to take on players from across North America.

The Fantasy Football Challenge is a new concept in fantasy sports. You will have the opportunity to go head to head against people at your JCC, or in the region where you live, and also have the chance to win fantastic grand prizes, weekly prizes and league prizes. Most importantly you will have the chance to dominate your league in not one but two countries - and show everyone that you are a fantasy football master!!

We will be playing on ESPN.com and ESPN.com fantasy expert analyst Matthew Berry (the “Talented Mr. Roto”) will be the honorary commissioner of the Challenge (Matthew will host a North American webcast before the draft Tuesday night August 30th, will tweet about the Challenge, will have a conference call with league leaders at several crucial points throughout the season, and more!).

Grand Prizes and Weekly Prizes are being provided by The Coca-Cola Company’s partners Disney, Southwest Airlines, Six Flags and American Airlines, as well as the Peabody Hotel. League prizes are being provided by Ab Coaster and Staples (Kindles!). The top individual teams in each league, the top point scoring team each week and the top three scoring teams overall get prizes from our sponsors – there are no cash prizes to individuals.

Prize Structure:

•There will be a first place prize for each 10-team league, a choice of (priority based on total points for the season, including playoffs):
o Ab Coaster PS500, the base model for the Personal Series home market (50 available)
o A Kindle, provided by Staples (50 available)

•Overall prize for the top three team point totals in the country:

o Grand Prize (to the team with the most fantasy points overall for the entire season after the playoffs):
 4 Park Hopper tickets for 4 days at Disney World, 4 round-trip tickets on Southwest Airlines, and a 4-night hotel stay at the Peabody Hotel in Orlando, Florida.
 Matthew Berry will personally call the Grand Prize winner to congratulate him or her

o 2nd Place:
 2 round-trip tickets on Southwest Airlines and an Octane Fitness bag with shirts, hats and more

o 3rd Place:
 2 round-trip tickets on Southwest Airlines

o Random prize to one team, regardless of point total:
 2 round-trip tickets on American Airlines

o Weekly Prizes: (to the top point scoring team each week)
 2 tickets to any Six Flags Amusement Park

o Extra perk for league leaders of all leagues at different points during the season:
 Matthew Berry will participate in three 30-minute conference calls with current league leaders and answer any specific fantasy questions they have

The Fantasy Football Challenge is open to all JCC members and users as well as the general public (18 years of age and older), but in this first year it is limited to 100 leagues, and is capped after the first 1,000 people register - so please respond ASAP. First come, first served. The cost is $50 per person/team, which goes to support JCCs and JCC Association.

Go to http://www.discoverjcc.com/jccffc and register today!!!!

Hope to be competing against a bunch of you this Fall. Good luck and good time!

One bump... they're maxing the Challenge at 100 teams and 1000 people this year. Get in now if you have any interest. If you do and aren't already affiliated with any JCC in your area, please choose Region NorthEast and Springfield, MA JCC when you register. Thanks!

Final bump. Registration ends this coming Sunday 8/21. There are aleady over 100 teams registered, so if you'd like to participate and think you have what it takes to win your league and some of these prizes, sign up now. You can choose the JCC that's closest to you to affiliate with and be in their league, or you can choose NorthEast Region and Springfield, MA JCC and be in my league. All details are above.

Thanks,
Scott
