Hey guys,

I am looking for a free or very low cost website that will allow a group of us to do a draft only. We have been running our league on Yahoo for the past 6 or 7 years and it is great but each year it's getting harder to get the 12 guys together in one room and hold a live draft. Someone is always missing and drafted by a friend or wants to draft online. We all feel that 90% of the fun in the league is draft day drinking and trash talking but it seems impossible this year.

If I make the draft an online version, those of us that did get together would have to all bring separate laptops and if any problems occurred during the draft, I can't stop it without major issues.

I would be looking for a website where I can log on from our draft site with the 9 or 10 guys that can show up and draft as a commissioner for them and myself but the people who can't make it could make their picks from home online.

Any suggestions?

If i am understanding you correctly, you want to have a live draft with some owners being able to draft from a remote location?

You can use programs like skype, google+, or facebook that have free video conferencing software and connect with the owners that cannot make the draft.

I've done it in the past with other leagues but using google or aim or something has the limitations of not being able to track teams or illegal moves. It also makes it really difficult to keep the time limit down locked down. I used a site "kafenatid.net" for baseball but I'm not sure how it works for football. I would be looking for a site that is able to run a real time draft software that would allow me (the commish) to make the majority of the picks and any online users to make their own picks.
