NEW PPR KEEPER LEAGUE

Postby allegajj » Wed Aug 03, 2011 2:49 pm

hey i am doing my first keeper league this year. 2 players are locked up and kept each year an hr before the draft. I am wondering if anyone has any advice on how to approach the draft. Should I apporach this years draft any differently than a normal ppr league? if so any advice or tips? sleepers? any webistes that are free that cover this topic? thanks

With the league having two keeper slots you do not need to significantly change your draft strategy. I would draft like a regular PPR league. Your keepers are likely to come from the early rounds of your draft, which is chock full of players in the prime of their careers.

Any sites with expert analysis or draft rankings/cheatsheets that you recommend for a league like mine?

A great place to start for PPR rankings would be right here at the Cafe. http://www.fantasyfootballcafe.com/2011 ... ockout.php

I did a mock draft last night to prepare for this type of league and my starting lineup was
QB-Matt Ryan (got him in the 7th)
RB-Arian Foster (1st rd 3rd overall)
RB-Matt Forte (2nd rd)
WR-Reggie Wayne (3rd rd)
WR-Mike Williams (TB) (4th rd i think)
Flex-Sidney Rice (6th rd I think)/Steve Breaston
TE-Jason Witten (5ht rd I think)
K-Nick Folk
D/ST-Jets

How does that look? did i reach on anyone? do you see any steals? (i think Matt Ryan in the 7th was a possible steal)

Also, I noticed that a lot of QBs went last 1st or early 2nd. I am usually one to draft 2 RB before anything else. Which strategy do you think will be best to use in this league as far as what positions to draft 1st or put more importance on?
