The draft will take place directly online on the myfantasyleague.com website on SUNDAY, AUGUST 28, 8:00 p.m. EST.DIVISIONS / SCHEDULE:
Divisions and Schedules will be determined before the draft begins. There will be a 13-week schedule. During the season, each divisional team will play each other twice, and other teams in the league once. The computer will randomly select the schedule.PLAYOFFS:
During weeks 14-16, there will be a 6-team playoff, consisting of the three divisional winners and three “wildcards”. The top two divisional winners will receive a bye-week during week 14 while the other four teams hash it out during our wildcard weekend. Should a wildcard team with a better record than the second divisional winner, they will still be seeded lower. Want a bye? Win your division.
Week 15 will be divisional playoffs and Week 16 will be Keeper Bowl III. There are no ‘consolation’ games, so win or go home.ROSTERS / LINEUPS AND INJURED RESERVE:
Rosters shall have 15 players. You must have at least one person on your roster per position. There will be an additional roster position for “injured reserve”, which is the equivalent of the DL in baseball. This allows you to fill up your 15 spots with healthy players able to contribute now.
Lineups will have 9 players. 1 QB, 1-3 RB, 1-3 WR, 1-3 TE, 1 K, 1 DEF/ST. This means you can have any combination of up to 5 players in the RB/WR/TE slots, with a minimum of 1 player per position. So you can have different packages such as 3 RBs, a 1 WR, and a TE, or 2 TEs, 2 WRs, and a RB.
Owners will be allowed to submit one backup player (at any position) on your roster. Therefore, if you’re concerned that one of your players is questionable and may not start, during the lineup submission process, you can select a backup player before the first game’s kickoff that the commissioner will manually replace into the starting lineup after kickoff. Pre-season trading will be allowed between the date when keepers and franchised players are determined and the NKFL draft. Between keeper declarations and the draft, teams will be able to trade any combination of their keepers and draft picks (this year or next) that they desire.
During the season, you will be able to trade any way that you want to. 1-for-1, 2-for-1, 3- for-1, etc. However, before the kickoff of the first game every week, you must have the required 15 players on your roster, or you will not be able to submit a lineup.
IMPORTANT: Since this is a keeper league, you can trade players for future draft picks (subsequent season only!)KEEPERS:
At seasons end, each team will be required to keep six players, one player at each of these positions:1 QB, 1 RB, 1 TE, 1 WR, 1 K, 1 DEF/ST. One player will be designated as your Franchise Player. You can keep any player for a maximum of two years, otherwise you have to put a "franchise" tag on them. We did this in order to keep the draft fresh and interesting.FOR MORE DETAILS:
