Keep one MJD or J. Charles

Postby tman570 » Mon Aug 08, 2011 8:09 am

Money League. I think the obvious pick is Charles over MJD, one mandatory keeper per team. The thing is I am keeping Charles in another money league so the question becomes spread the risk or put all my eggs in one basket with Charles.

Thanks for your thoughts.

J Charles is being drafted as a top 5 RB whereas MJD has an ADP of 12ish, putting him into the 2nd Round most times. Similarly, MJD has a bit more wear-n-tear compare to J Charles. He's consistently among the top 5 in terms on number of carries every season and just came off of a minor knee surgery. I think going with Charles in 2 leagues in not an issue, nor would it be with any other of the top 5 RBs, in fact, I think you'd be considered lucky to be able to do that. I think Charles is safer, and If you want to be ultra-safe, handcuff him with Thomas Jones in later rounds.

MJD has that bum knee, and Charles is in a good spot with a young, up-and-coming offense. I'm a huge fan.

Charles, and it's not that close IMO. He doesn't come without risk (mostly schedule concerns), but he'll have more value and can bring a higher bounty if you have a hot start and want to trade to set up your playoffs, etc. ;-D

Thank you for your replies, I appreciate it. My gut reaction was Charles as well and that is who I am going with.

Charles again!!!

Look to trade him around week 10... to someone who isn't looking at the Chief's schedule.
