C. Johnson for Mendenhall

I'm in a keeper league and the owner of Chris Johnson wants to trade him because of his holdout this year. We are in an auction league and can keep players for $5 more the next year of what you paid for him ($100 salary cap). Johnson could be kept for $16 this year, $21 next, $26 in 2 years.... Mendenhall's price is $13 this year. I already have Rice as my other keeper. I'm wondering if I should trade Mendenhall for Johnson, not knowing if and when Johnson will play this year. Already thinking if he holds out too long, he'll won't in as good of shape this year possibly more prown to an injury. I like Johnson a lot more than Mendenhall but looking at it as what will the trade do for me this year, even though I'll be able to keep Johnson for a few years.

The CJ hold out has been fairly quiet but I don't think he will step foot on the field without a deal or at least a very real offer that a deal will be made. On the flip side, Reinfeldt is playing the tough guy role and demanding Johnson shows up. No offer has been made to him at all apparently. I think a deal will get done but it may not happen until late August or early September.

At this point, as tempting as it is to get CJ, I would be holding onto Mendy.
