2 keeper league (only 1 player at a position can be kept on each team) - 10 owners - 1 ppr - QB heavy points - starters: 1QB, 2WR, 2RB, 1 TE, 1TE/WR flex, 1 RB/WR flex, 1 K, 2 Def -- 5 bench spots
I pick 4th in a snake type draft. no pick or player trading allowed during draft. AP, prolly Romo, and either nicks or Jennings will be gone when it is my turn.
3 teams have no QB, 4 teams have no RB, 4 teams have no WR.
My keepers are Brees, and J Charles
Available players at the start of the draft
Just listed a few of the top players that are available.
Last year only 3 RB were in the top 10 at the end of the year in fantasy points, 5 QBs, and 2 WR were the other 7 in the top 10.
so here are the options as I see them
1. standard type get the RB then WR and fill in with best available for the rest of the positions
2. take WR then RB in 2nd and then fill in with best available
or #3 take a risk that I can find journeymen WR later that will work and get RB round one and rounds 2 and 3 grab the top 2 TE then fill in around them?
I know strategy changes based on other owners picks but I usually go into a draft with a particular strategy knowing I might have to adjust or even punt if something unexpected happens.
I am leaning on trying option 3 since there are spots for 3 RBs to start and at least 4 maybe 5 of the recievers on that list above will be gone by the time it gets to me in the 2nd. Top few TE's are as good as all but a few WR fantasy points wise.
You could think of government workers like teenagers. You pay them an allowance, but do you get any work out them? They eat the food, put their feet on the furniture and complain loudly whenever they are unhappy.
