I'm looking for a couple replacement managers for my annual H2H Redraft league on Yahoo! I have been running this league for about 8 years now but we had several managers drop out this year, so we need to find some new blood. This is a very fun, competitive league, so I'm looking for guys who will join up, talk some smack and play it out.
The settings are fairly standard and there are no crazy stats or point settings. (Full setting are listed below) Rosters are as follows: QB, WR, WR, RB, RB, TE, W/R, K, DEF, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN (
The draft: Auction format - Saturday Sept 3rd at 10am central time.
The money: $40 must be received prior to auction. I accept paypal or check.
The rules: (listed below)

1. LEAGUE FORMAT: The draft will be an auction format.
2. PLAYER ACQUISITIONS:
A. WAIVER STATUS: Players will go on waivers from Sunday at noon to some point on early Tuesday morning. As players come off waivers, they will be awarded to those who submit bids using FAAB described below.
B. FAAB (Free Agent Acquisition Budget): This season we will be using the FAAB to determine waiver claims. In FAAB, each manager receives $100 at the start of the season to place blind bids on waived players. The manager with the highest bid at the end of the waiver period claims that player and that bid amount is deducted from the team's acquisition budget. If multiple managers place an equal bid on a player, the player will be awarded by a weekly rolling list - waiver claims are processed in reverse order of standings and each successful claim moves a manager to the end of the waiver priority list.
3. WEEKLY LEAGUE HIGH SCORE: The team with the highest cumulative score throughout the league each week (through week 13) will win a small prize of $10.
4. MATCHUP VOTING: There will be a $10 prize at the end of the season for picking the highest number of correct matchups between two fantasy teams. Yahoo has a feature that allows everyone "vote" on who they think will win that particular week. I will count and tabulate the correct picks every week. Your lowest week total is dropped (in case you forget once). Playoffs are worth extra points (each round of the playoffs is worth one additional point for getting it right). Whoever has the highest total at the end of the season wins $10. Matchup voting will begin in Week 2.
5. THE MONEY:
A. BUY IN: The league entry fee is $40. Everyone must ante up before the draft – no exceptions. I will accept payment on PayPal (firstname.lastname@example.org
), cash or check. I prefer PayPal or cash, if possible. On PayPal, sending money should be free. I will not accept “vouching” for someone else, such as your friend, without hearing from that friend personally. Once I receive entry fees I will update the payment checkboxes on the main league page to show who has paid up and who still owes money. Please verify I have marked you off as paid.
B. PAY OUT:
Assuming 12 teams:
12 x $40 = total pot of $480
Weekly High Score Payouts: $130 = 13 weeks x $10/week
Matchup Voting: $10
1st: 55% of remaining pot = $187
2nd: 25% of remaining pot = $85
3rd: 20% of remaining pot = $68
4th - 6th: the respect of your peers
7th-12th: the scorn of your peers
I will henceforth pay everyone on PayPal or by check, so there is a record of the transaction. I will not pay winnings in cash or make a deal such as "Hey you're bought-in for next year!". It's a long offseason and people forget. I will pay all winnings no later than 48 hours after the NFL Super Bowl. If you "think" I owe you money and you don't say anything about it to me, on March 1st, 2012, your claim becomes invalid. I don't want hear how people still think I owe them money from last year but never said anything to me about it. Speak up or lose your claim!
A. APPROVAL: Trades are approved by the commissioner or an unbiased appointed representative should the commissioner be unavailable. There are no league votes.
B. EVALUATION: Trades are not evaluated for “fairness”. People should be allowed to coach their team and trade whoever they want, even if other managers happen to think it's a really stupid rip-off trade. Negotiating a favorable deal is part of fantasy skill and as long as both parties want to do the deal, it should go through.
B. TRADE VETO:. As long as you are making a trade with the intention of helping your own team, it will be approved. Trades determined to be collusion will be vetoed.
I will attempt to leave trades pending for 24-48 hours if possible, to let everyone in the league see the trade. All pending trades will be processed at 6pm on the day previous to the first NFL game of the week. Any trades made AFTER this deadline will not be processed until the following week.
7. RULE CHANGES:
League rule changes will not take place during the season. We drafted a team based a specific set of settings and rules – now we play it out.
