How's my *TEAM* BOSSES?

Postby ZDante » Fri Aug 12, 2011 8:00 am

10 man NON-PPR standard scoring yahoo league 4pt throwing TD no flex, three WR

QB- Brees, Stafford
WR- Nicks, M.Williams(TB), M.Mannigham, P.Garcon, B.Edwards, J.Simpson
RB- C.Johnson, C.Benson, D.Williams, B.Jacobs
TE- Clark
K- Bryant
DEF- Jets

How does the team look? I'm thinking about trading Manningham away for another WR that is similar as I don't like having both WR's from same team. Let me know. WHIR!!

Your RB core is a little iffy but I'm less than a fan of benson. But I would definitely try to make a trade for manningham. Playing 2 WR's from the same team is treading in very murky waters, its never worked out for me

Yeah, two WRs from the same team is bad mojo...and you really should try to get another decent RB on that roster, maybe a Forte or Blount or someone like that...

I'm really not a fan of getting a backup QB, and by drafting Stafford in most likely round 12, you are missing out on RB depth such as Michael Bush and Willis McGahee.

As B3N said, having two WRs of the same team is not a very good idea. Even though Braylon Edwards is on your bench, I would still recommend trading away Manningham for someone like Mark Ingram (not a big fan), Fred Jackson, or Marshawn Lynch. These guys could fill in as your flex. I would much rather have a RB flex, plus this gives you 5 RB and 5 WR.

Now that you have Stafford, hold onto him. Hope he does well. If he does, trade him. The upside on this guy is amazing, I actually believe if he performs well you could get someone like Felix Jones, and that would be awesome for your team.

Just putting in my two cents.

agree that trying to get rid of mario makes sense. You wont get max points unless Eli goes off in a game.

Outside of that your QB is strong, and I like stafford for a big year. Not starting Brees wont really ever make sense, but its always nice having a really good backup. Deangelo should be good this year if healthy, going to be interesting to see how he comes back from injury.
