Sportsline Scoring System (H2H vs Ranked)

Postby xbo » Fri Aug 12, 2011 1:44 pm

I'm a noob here, and I'm really hoping that there are some Sportsline commissioners who post here.
I've been using Sportsline for many years (as c'mish), and the style that we use is pretty unique: In our 12 team league, we go H2H against every team every week, which means that it's possible to earn 11 wins, 10 wins..... 1 win, 0 wins each week depending on how many points your team scores that week (in other words, multiple matchups).
The manner in which Sportsline handles this style is less than ideal, but we've been managing ok (using suppemental record keeping).

My question (sorry for the extended background) is in regard to the setting options in the Scoring System section.
There are 2 Scoring System Types:
1) Head-to-Head *which we have always used
2) Ranked (points based)

I have noticed that if you select Ranked (points based) another option appears below it:
Rank Scoreboard View
...which then gives the option of choosing:
1) By Period Points
2) By Year to Date Points

Has anyone here used Ranked (points based) in their league?
Is it essentially just a Total Points (cumulative) Championship style?
What does the Standings page look?
What does the upper portion of the Live Scoring page look?

I'd actually appreciate ANY info on how that system works.
Thanks much.... and this is a great forum!
