Whassup!? Am I OK?

Postby msukc » Sun Aug 14, 2011 12:27 am

This is my second league and I have not given it the love it deserves. However, ten team dynasty league with a complicated system. Here is my team.

QB Philip Rivers SDG 296 MIN Sun Sep 11 4:15 pm ET
Matt Cassel KAN 216 BUF Sun Sep 11 1:00 pm ET
RB Adrian Peterson MIN 196 @SDG Sun Sep 11 4:15 pm ET
BenJarvus Green-Ellis NWE 150 @MIA Mon Sep 12 7:00 pm ET
WR Wes Welker NWE 95 @MIA Mon Sep 12 7:00 pm ET
Vincent Jackson SDG 39 MIN Sun Sep 11 4:15 pm ET
James Jones GNB 76 NOR Thu Sep 8 8:30 pm ET
Pierre Garcon IND 89 @HOU Sun Sep 11 1:00 pm ET
Edmund Gates MIA 0 NWE Mon Sep 12 7:00 pm ET
Tandon Doss BAL 0 PIT Sun Sep 11 1:00 pm ET
TE Dallas Clark IND 75 @HOU Sun Sep 11 1:00 pm ET
Dustin Keller NYJ 123 DAL Sun Sep 11 8:20 pm ET
K Nate Kaeding SDG 120 MIN Sun Sep 11 4:15 pm ET

My thoughts. Love AP (arguably the to pick), Rivers (stud and underated), VJ (everyone is high on this guy), Clark (stud TE again?). Thats 4 top players in each position. Then I still have Welker, Keller and Garcon. I like this team. Not sure it will win. But, it does have a shot.

msukc, I think you're right...I like you're top guys in each position: AP, Rivers, V. Jackson & Clark. They all should be in store for great years. But I think you lack a bit of depth, especially at WR & RB.

I would consider Welker and BGE as bottom #2, preferably solid #3 guys. Not to mention, those two players will be fighting for touches as they are on the same team. My biggest concern wouldn't be your studs, but your backups and reserves. Given how the season plays out, I think you'll have a descent team. I would keep my eye on the waiver though...see if you can't add some depth.

Overall, nice work.

I am not as worried about Wes Welker as a WR2 than I am about BenJarvus Green-Ellis as a RB2. Welker and Brady have an established connection and Welker should be able to post another season with high reception totals, decent yardage, and a few touchdowns. BJGE on the other hand doesn't have a very secure role in the NE backfield. The Patriots drafted two rookie running backs in Shane Vereen and Stevan Ridley. The Patriots resigned veteran running backs Kevin Faulk and Sammy Morris. Throw scatback Danny Woodhead into that mix and the backfield on the Patriots is very crowded. In a 10 team league, you need a better second running back than The Law Firm.
