I get to pick my draft position.....

Postby EPLiverpool87 » Sun Aug 14, 2011 10:41 am

So since I won last years consolation bracket, I get to pick what spot in the draft I want to be. 12 team league, snake draft. I was thinking 4th...and picking up Ray Rice or Foster if he drops past 3rd. But obviously....getting AP for free would be sweet so I don't know what to do.

Just looking for thoughts and suggestions.

I wouldnt take 4th...the highest I would go is 3rd...that way I would be guarnteed A.P., Foster, or Chris Johnson. Then on the 2nd round I would select a Tier 1/2 WR depending who is available: Calvin johnson, roddy White, Larry Fitzgerald, or Nicks. One of the 4 should drop to the late 2nd round.

If there are no keepers and all players available then I would draft in the top 3 (Foster, CJ, AP) although I'm not too high on AP this year (new QB, no Rice, weaker O-line).

Honestly, I think I would choose the 6 slot.

AD
Rice
Foster
Charles
Johnson
McCoy

all are very close with AD, Foster and CJ coming back to the rest of the pack in value. DO a couple mocks and see if you like 1, 3 or 6 better. Is it a 10 or 12 teamer?

I have to completely agree with Bungle. This year there are prolly 3 top tier guys, and I even hesitate to say that. Then there are the 6 guys he listed. You will be more than happy with any of them. So if you really get down to it look further in the draft and see who you would like to be able to get. Try a few mocks...they do magic

thanks for the input. Knowing some of the guys in my league it is possible that Vick or even Rodgers goes in the top 5. So I think by taking the 4th spot I can get a top 3 back. But I might move down.

Doing some mock drafts now. Thanks!

Still open to suggestions....
