My draft is in a couple of weeks. Not a PPR league. 12 teams. 2 rb, 2 wr, 1 qb, 1 te, 1 kicker, 1 defense, and 1 flex rb/wr.
Question 1: Peterson, Foster, or C. Johnson? Question 2: Or, should i try to trade spots with someone, like with the #3 person, so that i get an earlier round 2 pick? this is assuming that any of the 3 rb's in question 1 would yield similar results, so it might make sense to get a 2nd round pick 2 spots sooner.
I would trade for either the 3rd or 6th pick. The top 3 are pretty even and then the next 3 are all pretty even. Do some mock drafts and see what you like the best.
I'd probably forget about working out a trade and just take the #1 pick and plan from that position.
Right now, I'd take Foster #1 but AP is probably the safer choice.
If you are trading picks, I actually like the #4 spot with Foster, AP, CJ, and Rice.
The workload and goal line situation makes me hesitant to include Charles in that top tier. He needed to average 6.4 yards per carry last year to get those numbers and that will be hard to repeat. Meanwhile, you know Rice has the workload, it looks like he may get more goal line work, and he's got Leach at FB now (who was clearing the path for Foster last year).
12 team QBs Roethlisberger, Kapernik RBs Doug Martin, D Thomas, Bryce Brown WRs C Johnson, Demaryius Thomas, Garcon TE Gates K Vinatiari DST Jets, Cards
i think id try to trade down in the top 5, take whatever's left between AP, CJ, AFoster, JCharles and Ray Rice. (the best talents are AP and Cj but their offenses could be horrible this year with no offseason, new coaches, and new Qbs, not to mention CJ still hasnt reported), so i dont think they're much better if any than RIce, Foster, and Charles who are slightly lesser talents but better offenses) if you could trade your top 2 picks and maybe even get somebody to swap places later in a round then your #20 pick becomes a #15 and you could catch somebody like a Jones Drew or roddy white slipping to you in the 2nd.
Thank you guys for your help!!! this is an awesome site. i will try out the mock drafts and see what i like better. i am going to start asking around with the #3 and #4 guys to see if they wanna swap places.
Not to jump in here too late, but I'm taking AP all day long. He is the most consistent rb in the NFL and has been since his rookie season. CJ has contract issues and may miss time. Foster has only done it one year and don't forget he did lose his fullback. Charles is still sharing some carries with T. Jones, but should carry more of the load this year. Rice has the fullback, but can they get a passing game going this year? I'd know AP has a new qb, a re-worked o-line, but he will get his touched and put up big numbers again. Good luck.
