My Crabtree/Smith for his Lance Moore?! WHIR!!!

Postby donald17 » Wed Aug 17, 2011 9:51 pm

Yahoo, 12-team, H2H, PPR (1 pt), Redraft

My team:

QB - Freeman
RB - Foster
RB - Forte
WR - Austin
WR - Maclin
WR - Crabtree
TE - Finley
DST - Bears
K - Gostkowski

BN - Stafford
BN - J. Simpson
BN - Starks
BN - Jacoby Ford
BN - Steve Smith (PHI)
BN - Denarius Moore

I've been trying to work out a trade to upgrade/solidify my WR3 spot a bit, as I really don't trust Crabtree. What do you think of the trade in the topic title? Thanks.

I think you should aim a little higher than Lance Moore. I would also say to be patient and see hwo the start of the season goes. Smith and Crabtree are both technically far more talented then Moore.

Lance Moore imo is an upgrade over Crabtree, he had a respectable year last year coming off an injury and he only stands to benefit if Colston's knee/wrist are still bothering him. The downside with any Saints player is that Brees spreads it around and they have a ton of options.

Crabtree, on the other hand, has a ton of upside but he has nobody to throw to him. If SF had a QB that could get him the ball I would easily chalk him up for 1000 yards and 7-8 TDs.

However; this completely contradicts what I just said but I agree with the above poster that you could do better in this trade. Crabtree's name alone and potential upside improves his value.

I would not do it. If Smith gets healthy he will be a dump off guy for Vick. Moore is part of a giant committee.
