PPR Dynasty Trade - Hillis for Bowe? 110% WHIR

Postby djadrock » Thu Aug 18, 2011 8:34 pm

I am in a PPR dynasty league...basic scoring with PPR.

I have been offered Hillis for Bowe. Another decent RB will help me. What should I do? 110% WHIR

My Team
QB Manning, Schaub, Bradford, Kolb, Tebow
RB Best, ADP, Benson, Carter, Thomas
WR Boldin, Wallace, Marshall, Bowe, Briscoe, Steve Johnson, Ocho, Denarius Moore
TE Gates, Kendricks

This is a tough one, since imo they are about the exact same in value and you are so deep at both positions. I would do it simply because Hillis would start easily IMO, but an argument could be made each week to start Boldin or Marshall over Bowe.

Does Hillis make me stronger as my no. 2? I am currently going to go with Best.

While I think Hillis' production this season will drop off, I think you have to make this trade as his value will pay off.

I see a lot of them being fairly the same. Bowe just killed me during the last part of the season last year. So, losing him wouldn't be the worst thing to happen to me.

Anyone else? I have to pull the trigger soon, if I do it.

Id take Hillis, and he's your #2 RB until proven otherwise. So i do think that makes you better. Bowe's numbers were inflated last season when you look at his catches/yards/tds. I think he'll drop off this season, at least TD-wise. And i think you could use the RB depth.

on a side note, i'd try to unload one of those QBs (probably Kolb or Schaub)for a WR filler after you trade Bowe. I think Stevie Johnson will be your #3.

I am working on the QB unload. I just got Bradford...so, that allows me some mobility.

I think that in a dynasty league I'm taking the guy with a higher upside who can last longer for you. I'm keeping Bowe. With KC adding some talent around him he should continue to produce some big numbers for many more years. With Hillis he is a big physical runner who wore down at the end of the year, if he keeps running like that he will be done in a few years. Stick with what you have now. Good luck.
