Which QB to pick?

Postby jonboy418 » Fri Aug 19, 2011 8:10 am

I'm drafting in a keeper league next week and I'm facing a tough choice:

Do I draft Matt Ryan or Matt Schwab at QB?

I'm leaning towards Matt Ryan only because I have Arian Foster and figured to spread the risk in case the Texans flop. But these two quarterbacks are very similar in the rankings and each have a top flight WR to toss to.

Who would you go with?

i think thats good reasoning. Id go with Ryan for the following reasons:
1. You already have Foster, so spread the risk.
2. Ryan is younger
3. i think Ryan has a higher ceiling.
4. Ryan has more recieving options. Roddy, Julio, TonyG > AJ which also spreads the risk. If AJ were to get hurt, Schaub would sink.

I really like Schaub and I would take him. I don't think you need to worry too much about same team. Depending on the rules, rosters etc. you also don't have to worry about age. It is not necessary to keep a QB, you can always find a servicable guy if needed, if it were between 2 RBs - age would be a factor ;-D

I would go w Ryan. I like the addition of Julio Jones, may not have a great rookie year but since it is a keep league. So in years to come white/jones better than Johnson/???

I would also take the flier on Ryan and hope that all the stars are alligning for him right now. I won't say Schaub is declining but Ryan is certainly rising.
