Is Terrell Owens worth drafting?

Postby LSUby50 » Fri Aug 19, 2011 8:47 am

i think he could still put up 8 TDs on a bad team if/when healthy. (still much better than Plaxico imo)
I heard this morning on the radio that teams are financially better off not signing veteran players until after week 1. (cant remember the reasoning, but they mentioned several vets that will probably get signed week 1.)

Is T.O. worth stashing on the bench? maybe as a WR5 or 6?

Is he even available in yahoo leagues?

Depends on your roster size. If you have a big enough roster it doesn't hurt, but standard rosters I would not draft him and he will most likely not be drafted

I wouldn't waste a spot, unless you can have up 7 or 8 WRs total.

More than likely he will be available as a FA in many standard leagues.

If you have a really deep league and can get him and stash him then fine, but I'd keep an eye on him and see where he signs, but it will most likely be after week 1.
The reason behind it is in the NFL for vested verterans there salary is gauranteed if they are on a roster as of week one. If they sign after that the contract is not guaranteed, so a team could sign him, he he act's like he normally does or isn't playing well he can be cut and he won't be paid the rest of his money.
