12 Man Standard Scoring IDP League - 6th Pick

Postby carelesswhisper » Mon Aug 22, 2011 11:59 am

12 Team - Head to Head - 6th pick - Start: QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, WR, TE, K, D (flex), DB, DB, DL, DL, LB, LB

QB: Josh Freeman
RB: Ray Rice
RB: Frank Gore
WR: Vincent Jackson
WR: Mike Williams (TB)
WR: Austin Collie
TE: Jimmy Graham
K: Matt Bryant

D (Flex): Derrick Johnson
DB: LaRon Landry
DB: Bernard Pollard
DL: Robert Mathis
DL: Calais Campbell
LB: Desmond Bishop
LB: Chad Greenway

Bench: Ryan Matthews, Felix Jones, Mike Thomas, Kyle Orton, Jordan Shipley, Greg Little, Montario Hardesty

Big name defensive guys went way earlier than I wanted to start drafting defense, so I kept padding my bench. Think my defense is still good and I can keep a close eye on the waiver wire as people have to start dropping people to clear space. Thoughts?

At a glance, I'm liking this team (esp if it's PPR). I'm feeling a lot of low-risk, high-reward upside in Josh Freeman and Ray Rice (if that even counts). Only area of improvement I can possibly pick out is maybe depth in WR. I think VJ is going to underperform his hype.

Sorry for the lack of insight in Defense!
QB: RG3
RB: Matt Forte, Ray Rice, CJ Spiller, Zac Stacy, Mike James,
WR: Pierre Garcon, Josh Gordon, Mike Wallace, Keenan Allen, Roddy White, Jarrett Boykin
TE: Jimmy Graham, Jordan Reed
K: Matt Prater
DEF: GB(Stream)

Thanks for the feedback!

Agree totally on WR depth but I opted to keep drafting RB's as depth at the position is fairly shallow. I figured they would bring more value by using them as tradebait for people who need to beef up their RB position to grab a better WR than what was available on the board. There are quite a few people in the league who are very reactionary so I figure I can get a much better value by offering someone Matthews or Jones after they have a good week for a much higher value WR that has a down week.
