Draft last night...12 team ppr thoughts

Postby Egg2828 » Mon Aug 22, 2011 12:46 pm

Ok 12 team PPR league. QB's flew off board as well as RB. I cant belive some of the WR's that fell. Calvin 3rd I almost took him over Gore in the 2nd but just had to lock down a RB and Gore is solid in PPR. I see a high risk but very high reward unit.

QB: Romo (6th)
WR: AJ (1st) 1.8
WR: B.Marshall (4t)
RB: Gore (2nd)
RB: D.WIlliams (3rd)
Flex: Colston (5th)
TE: J.Graham
K: Empty
Def: SD

Bench
RB: B. Wells, B.Jacobs, CJ Spiller, J Harrison
WR: M.Thomas, M.Floyd, Andre Roberts #2 with fitz
QB: Cutler
Dst 0
Kicker 0
TE 0

Your team is pretty solid.

I don't love your running backs. Your RBs are either injury risks (Frank Gore and Beanie Wells) or are in some sort of running back by committee time share (DeAngelo Williams, Brandon Jacobs and CJ Spiller.) However, your top two backs can still be productive. Gore will certainly give you solid production in the games he plays, and DeAngelo Williams has managed to be productive in a backfield split with Johnathan Stewart when he can stay healthy.

Your top two wideouts benefit in this PPR format. I'm a bit worried about Colston's knee, but should he stay healthy he will likely be a steal from where you got him. Mike Thomas seems to be on everybody's sleeper radar as the de facto WR1 in Jacksonville, and I think he can be productive in that role.

Tony Romo and Jimmy Graham are both just outside of the elite tier in their respective positions. They should offer production just a notch below players getting drafted several rounds earlier.

Good luck in 2011
