Need help trading draft picks!!!

Postby NeverOutNick » Mon Aug 22, 2011 9:04 pm

I'm in a 12 team 1/2 PPR league. I have the 4th pick and was offered a teams 6th pick overall and a 4th rounder for my 2nd and 3rd rounder. I'm really thinking this would be a great trade no matter how I slice it. I can get two top RBs, top RB and Andre Johnson or even a top RB and Vick/Rodgers...What do you all think?

Just so I can think this through, you'd end up with the 4th and 6th pick, plus an extra 4th rounder, and you'd lose your 2nd and 3rd round picks? So in a 12-team league you'd get the 6th and 43rd pick in exchange for the 21st and 28th pick.

I just completed a 12-team draft, and here are the selections made around those picks:

4th-Rice
5th-Johnson
6th-Turner
7th-Rodgers

20th-Nicks
21st-Greene
22nd-Manning

27th-Forte
28th-Romo
29th-A. Bradshaw

42nd-DeSean Jackson
43rd-D. Williams
44th-Finley

The difference between the 6th and 21st pick is going to give you more value than what you lose between the 28th and 43rd pick. 3rd and 4th rounds also start hitting the no-man's land where tough choices get made and dice get rolled. At pick 6 you are (hopefully) getting a sure thing.

Thanks for the reply. I feel it was a good move too. What do you guys think i should do with the 4th and 6th overall now? Keep in mind I don't have a 2nd or 3rd (but 2 4th round picks)...

My gut is telling me take Vick and either Rice/CJ/Charles
