Trade Fitzgerald for MJD in a DYNASTY league?

Postby warr1616 » Wed Aug 24, 2011 8:16 am

G'Day All ... I play in a 14 team DYNASTY league with the following starting roster and scoring.

1 QB, 3 WR, 2 RB, 1 TE, 1 WR/RB

passing: 1 pt per 25 yds; 4 pt per TD
receiving/rushing: 1 pt per 10 yds; 6 pt per TD

Here's my roster:

QB: P.Manning, Cutler, Sanchez, Gabbert
WR: Colston, Jennings, Fitzgerald, Marshall, Knox, Hankerson
RB: SJax, P.Thomas, Jacobs, D.Brown, Vereen
TE: Witten, Gronkowski

My WR core is solid and I consider my RB core a little weak. I've been offered MJD for Fitzgerald straight up.

Which is better ... not making the deal and hope that either Thomas or Jacobs pans out this year or to take the deal and hope that MJD plays at the level we're used to seeing from him?

Thanks in advance!!!!

I like MJD in this scenario. Thomas is going to get the most carries in NO but I dont see him being a fantasy stud in NO because they are going to also mix in Sproles and Ingram. I also think the same thing is happening in NY with Bradshaw, he's going to start to get more carries than Jacobs. IMO I think you should make this trade and watch MJD run up and down the field all season.

Help with mine? Any feedback will help, thanks! (Keeper league question as well)
