1st "real" team of 2011 WHIR

Postby Sex Panther » Fri Aug 26, 2011 10:34 am

So I'm in way too many leagues this year - 7 total, 5 of which are money leagues, the other 2 have been slow drafts that started about a month ago...

Anyway enough of that.

12 team, .5 PPR, 6 pt all TD (QB included), 35 return yards = 1 pt (players only, not D/ST), big bonuses at 350/400 yard passing, 150/200 rush/rec. QB/WR/WR/RB/RB/TE/Flex (W/R/T)/K/D.

Drafted 3rd.

QB Schaub/Cassel
WR Austin/Wayne/Colston/Ford/Hester
RB Rice/D. Williams/Ingram/M. Bush/Harrison
TE Gronkowski
K Rackers
D Philadelphia
Kate Upton's Husband - dead
Mr. Blonde - champ
Yo Soy Fiesta - dead
Old South - champ
Full of Fanta Tonight - champ
Sex Panther (SB) - dead
Sex Panther (FF) - dead
Sex Panther (IBL) - dead
Sex Panther (Dynasty) dead

I'll do a quick positional rundown for ya.

I'm not the biggest DeAngelo Williams fan this year. It seems like the offense is going to get a little more pass heavy, and the continuing presence of Johnathan Stewart is a nuisance. I'm usually a bit leery of rookie RBs but Ingram is talented and it appears the system is behind him. As far as Ray Rice goes, I wouldn't be surprised if he was the number 1 RB in 1 and .5 PPR.

You have two WR1s in Austin and Wayne, albeit low end ones. I'm a bit worried about Colston's knee but should he prove to be healthy there's nothing that should stop him from producing. Ford and Hester are both nice bye week plays in this scoring format.

Not too much to say about QB/TE. I love Gronk in the hope that he stays a major RZ option for Tom Brady. Matt Schaub is the QB on a high powered offense, so there isn't much to complain about that. He lost a little of his shine last year after the break out of Arian Foster, but he should be able to remain a top NFL passer.
