I have the 1st pick in a draft next sunday.... So the standard pick is peterson.
But being the 1st pick top WRs will be gone so at some point i'll have to get wrs which i also think percy harvin will have a break out year. But i don't really want a wr and rb from the same team...
So in comes the ray rice possibility... The Mcgahee is gone, and ricky williams has been said to be only there to fill in when rice needs a breather, so not going to be a goal line vulture. Plus rice has better receiving abilities then peterson....
just kicking around the idea... anyone have some input?

Is it a PPR league? If so I wouldn't blame you. No TD vulture anymore, he's getting goal line carries, can catch and has one of them best schedules in the league. I was jumping for joy when he fell to me at 4th.
Please help with mine:

You're overthinking it here. You have to go with AP. Especially since it's not PPR. Passing up AP because you want to target Percy Harvin later in the draft is a huge mistake and would be a terrible move.

both have a rather easy schedule it seems, of coarse you can't really predict defensive play based on the last year, all the time.

Peterson himself is steady as they come, and probably the safest bet of them all. But there are serious questions about the Vikes' offensive line and lack of a downfield threat. AP can break tackles obviously, but you may want to exploit the offensive weapons Baltimore has in their second season together. They could form an impressive offense.
I'd go Rice for the potential of it being a home run pick- or trade down a couple of spots. No lower than 3rd.
