Should any of these Free Agents be on my team?

Postby utility-hook » Tue Aug 30, 2011 9:59 am

After the draft there are a few guys that went undrafted that could put up decent numbers this year as a goalline back or in a RBBC or if the starter gets hurt. Should I replace anyone from my team with one of the free agents listed below?

McGahee, Den
Jennings, Jax
Ringer, Ten
Carter, Ind
Tate, Hou
Torain, Was
Helu, Was
Harrison, Det
Starks, GB
Snelling, Atl

WR
Mike Thomas, Jax
Jacoby Ford, Oak
Moore, NO
Meachem, NO
Sims-Walker, Stl
Brown, Pit

My Team, Start QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1RB/WR, TE, K, DEF--Standard scoring, No ppr
QB-Eli Manning, Freeman
RB-Forte, Mendy, Greene, Fred Jackson,
WR-V. Jackson, M. Wallace, Manningham, Lee Evans
TE-Dallas Clark
K-Gould

Guys to watch closely are:
Starks - reports are that Grant has no burst this year due to his injury
Tate - probably gets Fosters touches if Foster stays hurt
Michael Bush - always a good pickup but not at the expense of dropping any of your current RBs(but, since you can start 3 RBs each week, lookk at the bye weeks of your current backs and then maybe drop Evans for him?)

Even if you don't pick up any of the above RBs, then I'd drop Evans for Thomas(Jax WR1), and possibly Brown as a breakout flyer even if you don't get credit for kick returns.
Also watch SIms-Walker to see if he passes Amendola as STL #1 looker and Meacham especially if Colston stays gimpy since this could be a healthy burner Meacham breakout year?

I agree to keep your eye on some of these guys (Starks in particular), but I wouldn't be changing up what you've got there. I think you'd be taking a downgrade from anyone you'd drop, and I'd rather hedge my bets with guys on my roster that I KNOW are going to play, not with guys that will get a shot only if someone goes down.

Thanks for the help with mine!

Starks is the guy but I would drop Evans for either Thomas or Ford. I don't think your league is deep enough to just sit on starks, you need the WR on your roster more.
