PPR RB and WR advice

Postby Knvb » Tue Aug 30, 2011 9:35 pm

Start 3RB and 4WR

have

Forte Blount and Moreno RBS
A.Johnson and Moss at WR

TE are ranked 1.5 ppr so i loaded up on witten and Davis and its 2QB starter pool so i grabbed vick and Romo.. Unfortunately the last round 7 of the 8 WR's i had targeted went as two of the teams still have no Qbs or Te's ...my dilema go WR or RB next

WR's available

Julio Jones
Pierre Garcon
Danny Amendola
Braylon Edwards
Lance Moore

ugly i know

Rbs avail

Ryan Mathews
Hightower
Lynch
Addai
Thomas
Benson
Jackson

Help!

Debating either Mathews Hightower or Amendola... i think hes a solid PPR receiver and i need two more starters never mind bench wr's and its getting super thin but most teams have 3 or 4 wr already and i'd be gambling waitng 10 picks to hope hes there.... considering the two of those 10 come from teams with 0 qb's and te's though

Tough to go for bench players when you still need 2 WR starters but I think I would go with Mathews here.....sounds like a not many will do WR this round so there should be some decent WR's still there for you next pick.

Mine?

I can't help but to go for upside. If you are going to go for an RB, take Hightower. He has the potential to be a very sold RB2 and catches passes. I'd take Addai after that in that the Colts offense is always good so he will always get his chances, catches balls, is not in a significant timeshare and the coaches/Manning trust him. I would take Mathews 3rd because he has gotten ZERO carriers inside the 30 yard line in three preseason games and Tolbert comes in a lot on pass plays. Then Lynch or Benson (coin flip) and throw a dart at the rest.

The WRs I would rank: L Moore then D Amendola with J Jones RIGHT after him. Flip a coin on the last two.

Why the heck would you draft Ryan Mathews????????

RB Steven Jackson is still available grab him now.

I rank the RB like this : Jackson, Hightower, Addai, Benson Lynch, Thomas,

WR I rank like this: PPR Amendola, Garcon, Edwards, Jones and Moore (depending on Colstons daily status)

Here is how I would rank what is left.

RBs: Hightower, Addai, Lynch, Benson, Pierre?(assuming) Thomas, Fred? Jackson(because I'd doubt it would be Steven Jackson or Brandon Jackson around this group). (If Daniel Thomas is the Thomas you were referring to I would put him ahead of Benson).

WR: Amendola, Julio Jones, Garcon, Edwards, Moore

As far as which way to go, you should be able to go another around by picking either Hightower or Addai and then the next round picking up Amendola or Jones because they both have been going pretty late but it also depends how many teams in your league if you have 10 or 12 you should be good if it is more then 12 grab Amendola now, just don't risk it.

I would take Hightower. He has looked good in the pre season. He also is decent for PPR.

The rst I pretty much rank like Jimmyraye. Moore is in a pass proficient offense and had a solid season. Hopefully he can repeat the catches again this year. The rst are a coin toss.
