Ok, so I finally decided to jump in on a fantasy league, had my draft this last weekend ... 12 team non-ppr. I went in with a strategy to pick up a RB, WR, then QB, then go from there ... but that kinda went out the window! I ended up waiting on a QB, and now im worried that I may have waited too long based on who I got. Also, I kept being worried about the bye weeks and I would sometimes pass up on a better player because his bye week interfered with one of my other players ... anyways, here's what i got ... what do you guys think?
Not a bad squad for a first timer, but I have a suggestion:
Drop your 2nd kicker and Defense to grab a couple of prospects in the free agent pool. By the time you need to fill in for your bye week, you can just drop the player that didn't pan out. You may even find a better option at K or D/ST in the free agent pool that has already had their bye when you need them.
Aside from qb, you did a great job with depth, keep your eye on the waiver wire for a qb, they do pop up. Also with that depth, you can trade for a better qb. Use the trade forum to make sure your getting a fair deal. Out of those, Bess & Meachem stand out and I do like Henne much better than Cam. Good luck this year...
I'd take a flier on Bess and James Jones...we already know what to expect out of Meachem and Driver. When snagging players as fliers, you want them to be the breakout type. Meachem and Driver are not those.

Not bad. Don't worry about getting that QB late. You got your RBs, that's what's important. I agree, you don't need a second kicker. RBs go quickly, so there's probably not a lot left in FA. But stock up on bench WRs and TEs if you can use them at the flex position. I'll tell you what, my first draft was way worse. 2007, I had the first overall pick, and I drafted Brandon Jacobs (I'm a Giants fan.) He had a great year that year with 1,200 yards and 15 TDS. But what you'll realize is players like that, you can get later. I could've drafted AP, and still landed Jacobs in the 4th round. Next year, do as many mock drafts as you can, it'll help, trust me.

Yea, I did a handfull of mock drafts on ESPN.com, and it did help out! Yea, there isnt much left on RB's in the FA, here is whats left:
Maurice Morris -DET (Injured) Rashad Jennings -JAC (Injured) Thomas Jones -KC Javon Ringer -TEN
But Im liking some of the WR's that are there (mentioned in a previous post). I think as soon as the commisioner opens up the FA Im gonna try to snag up Bess, I have a good feeling about him this season ... Im also having a good feeling about Henne this season, so I might also swap Cam Newton for him, and since my league is TQB not individual QB, I think the Dolphins all together could be a better back up then Carolina.
