I've had a nasty flu bug, and I didn't get to do my usual pre-draft prep. I basically entered our league settings over in fftoolbox and set my list with that. I think the first half of my draft went okay, but the 2nd half, the lack of prep really hurt as I didn't know which sleepers or young guys to target, and I was really zoning out and really needed to be asleep somewhere. I kept thinking,"I'm drafting these guys and I know nothing about them." I don't normally feel the need to ask for roster assistance, but if I wait until my head clears it may be too late to make any changes I need.
I went WR heavy early, because we can start up to 5, usually 4 and every year I always curse my lack of depth there. Last year, I had ADP and A. Foster and still finished 6th because my WR's sucked. I usually delay getting QB and TE because I am in the wrong spot when the runs start, and then take whatever is left before people pick backups.
QB: Stafford, Bradford RB: J. Best, R. Bush, T. Hightower, D. Sproles, B. Scott, Jacquizz Rodgers WR: R. White, H. Nicks, DeSean Jackson, S. Holmes, J. Knox, Torrey Smith, Andre Roberts, Eric Decker, Ben Obomanu TE: Brandon Pettigrew DEF: Ari (play weekly matchups) K: Akers
These are the Yahoo best available (based on season proj) on our waivers
RB: LaRod Stephens-Howling, T. Choice, J. Forsett, Cadillac, M. Morris WR: P. Crayton, E Weems, T. Ginn Jr, M. Spurlock, Brad Smith farther down are people like J Gaffney, D. Henderson, J. Avant, TE: Travis Beckum, B. Scaife, J Dreesen, A. Fasano,
I am nervous about RB, but see a lot of upside. Also nervous about TE, so any comments about Pettigrew would be helpful.
Pretty much exactly what you said. Your RB's are scary, Best with injuries, and the next two are solid now but no guarantee to finish the season as the starter. I might try and package a weaker WR and either bush or hightower for a more safe option at running back, but otherwise I think you ride it out and if you hit the ceiling you'll tough to beat.
I think you swung the pendulum too far the other way and overdid it at WR. I can't see another team having close to your top 4. RB will be a problem. DeSean has a huge tradability factor that might just net you a decent RB option like Mathews. I'd dump Jacquizz because I just don't see him getting many touches. See if you can grab that rookie RB in SF - Kendal Hunter. QB you are set, great upside with both those guys.
Bottom line get RB help.

I could not have said it better myself. I would try to trade Desean with someone who has 3 solid RBs and is a little thin at WR. Im sure some folks are thin at WR cause you basically have them all!! You should be able to trade Desean to someone who is loving all the hype with the Eagles and Vick. Desean for a starting RB is what you need to do.

Evaluating players for trading, is something I've never gotten a handle on. Any idea on some RB names that DeSean Jackson should be able to net?
I think I have identified a possible trade partner. He has
RB: R. Rice, S. Greene, M. Forte, CJ Spiller, J Starks WR: Collie, Lance Moore, Sims-Walker, Denarius Moore, D. Driver, A Armstrong
I think I would prefer Forte over Greene (but Forte has burned me before). Opinions?
I would hold off until after the season starts and watch as this guy gets crushed at WR. Collie and Moore are hurting, MSW is learning a new offense. Forte would be my preference as well. See if the guy will budge on Rice, it may take DeSean plus Bush or Hightower though.
