1st Auction - Boom or Bust? WHIR

This is my first time participating in an auction draft, so wasn't sure how things would go. It's a 10 person, $100 league.

10 teams / ESPN standard scoring so QB TDs are 4 points, no PPR.

I notice right now that the RBs on my bench light up if there are some injuries during the season, otherwise they're not great. I kind of blew my load early on my starters so i picked up most of my bench for $1/player. I'm not sure if it was worth it or not for this starting squad.

How did I do? Any trades I should already be considering?

Not too shaby. Tate might be interesting trade bait to the Foster owner. I would try to upgrade RB2 if you can. You need someone who gets a little more attention at that spot. Thats upgrade I would be working out.

Very nice starting lineup, but it would be in your best interest to upgrade from BJGE. Though your WRs and TE should combine for as many points as most people would get out of WRs, TE, and RB2 combined. If you can't move BJGE to get someone better without breaking up that core of receivers, wait for a few weeks to see how things go. I don't think you'll have too much trouble with that lineup, though. You may also be able to get a gem off of waivers when the injury bug hits a big RB. Good luck, and good work!

not too bad for 1st auction, however, you probably spend too much on Vick and CJohnson, possibly Austin too
i always do the same route of spending most of my money early-middle then sit til very end, then pick all $1 BN

There's definitely room for improvement.
ESPN cheat sheet price is too high, do not use that.

if you decide to go few top elite player + bunch low tier BN direction, you should make sure you can cover at least 4, possibly 6 spot in your starter rooster.

15%-20% on QB, 50% on RB, 30% on WR, number can change
for example, i got Rodger for 44 in ESPN auction, and our starting bid is 200, which is equivalent to your $22, therefore, i change my RB cost to 48% since i spend extra 2% on QB.
i think it's more important to get 2 good player than 1 elite + 1 BN
A lot time Rice, Foster (before injury), AP will go up to even $60 ($30 in your league), however i get Forte+Gore for around $50 ($25 in your league), this way my 2RB is solid, and i still have extra $10 ($5 your league) to help me getting QB or WR (i got rodger).

However, you still want participate in those elite player bidding just incase if there's cheap offer.
Before Forster injury, i got foster for 46 (23 ur league), and AP go for 59, rice 47 and charles 46, imo, i got foster at cheapest available price.

u want keep balance between your remaining gold and remaining player in the pool, dont bidding at very beginning, because most of the time, it's way overpriced and you end up missing good deal later on. You dont want be too conservative because there's only so much good player, and if you start bidding late, you are either gonna 1. starting bidding war with other for the last good RB in the pool like DeSean for $35 because all the other good WRs are gone, when you check history, R. White was sold for $37 only.

after all, i'll rate your draft 7/10
