my manning dilemma

Postby thebeardedclams » Fri Sep 02, 2011 5:25 pm

I've got P. Manning, McNabb and Garrard. Who should I start if Peyton isn't ready? I could also pick up numerous free agents... A. Smith, Collins, Campbell etc...

Of the ones you have I'd start Garrard. But if he's available, I'd pick up Colt McCoy. He plays Cincy week 1 and has looked really good in the preseason.

McNab has a brutal matchup against a tough secondary in SD. On paper Collins has the easiest matchup this week...but he's Kerry..in a new offense. Smith has a great matchup as well but...well..he's Alex Smith. I'd honeslty swing for the fences with Campbell vs. a terrible Denver secondary.

Same thing Bric said....if Colt .45 McTD is available pick him up and plug him in.

good luck ;-D

Agreed. If Colt is available - the Benglas will be TERRIBLE this year. If not, go with Gerrard.

I'd go with McNabb based on skill alone.

David Garrard, Kerry Collins, Alex Smith...you're taking your fate in your own hands with bums like these. McNabb isn't exactly in his prime either, but at least you're guaranteed a passing touchdown out of him. You can't even guarantee that out of guys like Jason Campbell.

McNabb's match-up isn't great, but he should be throwing alot when the Vikings fall behind.

The way I see it, McNabb isn't any more skilled than Garrard, Smith, or Collins.... Unfortunately, McCoy isn't available and I don't think I would be willing to give up anyone on my roster to get him. So my initial thought was Garrard, he's got some pretty ok pass options with Thomas, Marcedes Lewis, Zach Miller... Idk much about the other wideouts, Hill or Dillard. Garrards match up is better than McNabb's too.

I guess if Manning doesn't pull through, I'm gonna start Garrard.... But I have a feeling I'm gonna be stressin about it all week.

Thanks for all your advice guys.
