While i totally agree that Stafford has top 5-6 potential, i say Romo, at least this week, until Stafford shows he is the real deal. We already know Romo can post huge numbers.
Give me Stafford. Just as many weapons with a suspect Tampa pass rush and weak secondary with Tenard Jackson out. Lions have no running game and a bad run blocking offensive line. Stafford will be healthy for maybe this one and only game, play him.
Romo is a solid play, but jets will bring the heat and the Dallas line is looking awfully shaky with Pro Bowl Gurode gone, Holland gone, and Tyron had an MRI today.
I'm probably a little biased here, but I'd go with Stafford this week. I'd be pretty confident of seeing a Stafford-Johnson TD hookup in this game, and DET run game is not going to overwhelm TB (to put it mildly). On the other hand, I wouldn't be shocked to see a low scoring affair in NY.
Long run Romo is great to have this season. He seems insanely undervalued, and has tons of weapons. I think he's going to be a fantasy beast.
