Which Back-Up RB is the better Roster stash?

Postby garretterik » Tue Sep 06, 2011 11:56 pm

I need to replace Rashad Jennings and like stashing RBs. Who should I pick up? (Missed out on Karim).
MBarber (Chi) best talent, but often injured
CTaylor (Ari) didn't make roster in Chi, but backup to Beanie
Hardesty(Cle) Hillis and the Madden curse?
Scott(Cin) - Benson sucks, but its the Bungles, how many points here anyway?
ADixon(SF) - Can Gore stay healthy?
Cadillac(StL) - Does he still have anything left in the tank? And SJax played through a broken back.
Murray(Dal) - Felix still doesn't look ike an every down back.
MMorris(Det) - Can Best stay healthy?
EGraham(TB)

My team:
QB Eli Manning (NYG - QB)
WR Calvin Johnson (Det - WR)
WR Stevie Johnson (Buf - WR)
RB Chris Johnson (Ten - RB)
RB Shonn Greene (NYJ - RB)
TE Antonio Gates (SD - TE)
W/R/T Mark Ingram (NO - RB)
BN Sidney Rice (Sea - WR)
BN Kevin Kolb (Ari - QB)
BN Steve Smith (Car - WR)
BN LaDainian Tomlinson (NYJ - RB)
BN Rashad Jennings (Jac - RB)
BN Javon Ringer (Ten - RB)
BN Ricky Williams (Bal - RB)
K Nick Folk (NYJ - K)
DEF Dallas (Dal - DEF

I would have to go with Barber since it looks like he will be getting the goal line carries in Chicago.

I'd look at Kendall Hunter instead of Dixon. He is the #2 back and he lead the pre-season with 35 rushes for 231 yards.

Also, Delone Carter for Indi is worth a look. Carter is a good goal line back and Addai is getting old and often banged up.

I would go Murray or Hardesty from that list. But if Hunter or Carter are available I would go with either of those two over anyone on that list.

Thanks for the help one mine!

I'll add that Hunter is also a kick returner, so if you get points for that, then that is a plus

i would go with barber. i am a bears fan but i have no bias in saying that the man has run hard in the pre-season. forte acknowledged barber's impact and says he enjoys being able to grab a breather for those tough yardage plays between the tackles, which is something the bears wanted to do with chester taylor last year but he never made an impact. martz has also mentioned his intention of putting barber in during goal-line and red zone situations and i can tell you from seeing it first hand, when martz says he has intentions for something, no matter how obscure they may seem, they usually happen.
