Miles Austin for Shonn Greene WHIR 100%

Postby ATLbraves » Wed Sep 07, 2011 12:26 pm

I desperately need another RB, since I dont have a clear cut RB1 and DeAngelo is a gamble. I'm going to attempt to trade DeAngelo + Miles Austin for Ray Rice or LeSean McCoy but I dont think its going to be accepted.

But I know the owner of Shonn Greene wants to trade him for a WR. They have a lot of RB depth and need a top notch WR, and I have a lot of WR depth and need a RB so this seems like the only person I am going to be able to get a trade done with.

So would this be a good trade for me?
My Miles Austin for his Shonn Greene

I know Shonn Greene is a gamble too, but I think he is way more of a sure thing then DeAngelo. Plus Miles Austin seems to be inconsistent and should lose targets this year to Bryant, Felix, and Witten.

sorry should have posted that in the OP. It's a PPR league, but only .5 instead of 1 point per reception.

While I agree DeAngelo is a Gamble... he still has a rookie QB so look for him to hand the ball off still. So I personally think he's still a decent low end rb1. Im not totally sold on Blount yet but I definitly think you have pretty decent depth at RB...and I think you go with this trade because youre already stacked beyond belief @ WR and If i were you i could sleep easy at night with Mike Williams (TB?) or shoot even Steve Johnson @ starting as a 3rd WR, and rotating between your commitee of D.Will, Greene, Blount and Moreno. Accept the trade and Dont be suprised if you take the championship this year ;-D Curious is this a 10 team league? Keeper league??

haha started the post with out even you realized you commented on mine... ;-D thanks for the help!

In a ppr league I would typically say no to this deal. But given your depth at WR I think it may be worth the gamble. I may be more inclined to target a Bradshaw or even go a step lower and move Stevie Johnson for a guy like Tim Hightower.

Hope that helps

Yeah I would like to trade Stevie Johnson, I am just hesitant because he is one of my keeper picks and has great value for the next couple of years. I just edited my OP and put my keeper picks and their value for this season. Next year I can keep them, they will just have to move up 1 round.

I would pass on it as well. While D Will is a gamble, the Panthers run more than anyone in football and hes got a rookie QB. They are going to lean on Williams VERY heavily. Im just not that high on Greene, I would rather have Austin. With Romo back he should be fine.

I think you are giving up too much for Greene.

I think Austin is in for a big year. Before Romo got injured last year, Austin was lighting it up and Dez was struggling. After the injury, it completely reversed. Romo is back, and Austin is going to have a great year.

Greene hasn't proven he can put up consistent fantasy points. He was a big disappointment last year.

I think that a Austin/Williams combination is going to yield you more points than a S.Johnson/Green combination is going to get you.

I would stand pat or look to give up your keeper value and trade M.Williams or S.Johnson for Green.
