Tony Romo or Josh Freeman?

Tony Romo is going to be my guy this year but I'm wondering if I should bench him for the first week? Romo at the Jets - or - Josh Freeman at home vs. Detroit??? Thoughts? 10 teams, 6 points for all TD's. Yardage and length of TD get's bonus points as well. Thanks!!!

Based on the matchup I would go Freeman simply based on matchups but over the long haul, I would stick with Romo. Week 1: Freeman.

I think Romo will do okay against the Jets but Freeman has the chance to get you 20 points in week 1 given the defensive matchup. Go with Freeman but as the poster said below Romo will probably be your best long-term bet.

I'm with the crowd. I'd go Freeman this week and Romo long haul. The only hesitation would be if your league takes points away from QBs when they get sacked, but even then I'd stick with Freeman.

Romo will dink and dunk all day against the Jets. Witten will be huge(8+ catches and td). Felix about the same and Dez will get 2 scores. Romo basically has to throw in this game because they won't be able to run. Jets have Revis( on Austin) but everybody else can be beat. Jets will blitz quite often because they have to( and get burnt). Their D-Line doesn't get much pressure. Romo will have a big game. I say all this and I hate the Cowboys,but I believe Romo has too many weapons not to succeed and have a big day.

I actually would like a few more opinions on this topic as well... because this is the same situation I face in one of my leagues.

I drafted both.

The numbers were leaning toward Freeman on fantasy projected points, which made me wonder.

I know I drafted Romo for a reason, and I should probably go with him, but I don't want to miss an opportunity if one is available.

Any important information would be greatly appreciated!
