Steven Jackson Trade WHIR

Postby Philly_05 » Wed Sep 07, 2011 5:51 pm

I have been shopping around for a HB since last season. This is the first serious talks I have had. I pushed Big Ben all last season without much response. So I put Drew Brees and Big Ben on the block this pre season. No offers for Drew Brees but I have a offer of Steven Jackson for Big Ben on the table. I can also do a trade of Steven Jackson and Julio Jones for Big Ben and Knowshon Moreno but I didn't really think that was a good deal for me. I like Julio's long term dynasty value but I don't really have a need for him. So trading Moreno and Big Ben for Jackson is a bit crazy.

Dynasty keeper 12 teams
25 yards per point; 4 points at 400 yards
Passing Touchdowns 6
Interceptions -2
Rushing Yards
10 yards per point; 4 points at 200 yards
Rushing Touchdowns 6
Reception Yards
10 yards per point; 4 points at 200 yards
Reception Touchdowns 6

QB- Drew Brees
WR- Vincent Jackson
WR- DeSean Jackson
RB- LeSean McCoy
RB- Marshawn Lynch
TE- Brandon Pettigrew
WR/RB- Dez Bryant
WR/RB- Knowshon Moreno
BN- Ben Roethlisberger
BN- Kellen Winslow
BN- Brandon Jacobs
BN- Dexter McCluster
BN- Marion Barber
BN- Plaxico Burress
BN- Jacquizz Rodgers
BN- Steve Smith -Phi
K- Mason Crosby
DEF- Giants
BN- Cowboys
D- James Anderson
D- Michael Griffin
D- Brian Urlacher

Is it a given that i should drop my bye week defense if I make this trade to get a QB backup? QB WW options are Chad Henne, Jason Campbell, Tarvaris Jackson, John Beck, Rex Grossman, Jake Locker, Christian Ponder, Collin Kaepernick and Kerry Collins. Should I take the plunge on the 1 for 1 deal or is the 2 for 2 deal worth doing? I think Moreno will have a huge year but some don't believe in him. He said he was interested in Jacobs and Lynch before and I said I would be willing to trade them and not Moreno. But he went straight for Moreno. Which seems like he is trying to hide his interest in Moreno. So I was like what about Big Ben and Moreno to get talks going for Ray Rice. But he quickly backtracked back to Big Ben for Steven Jackson.
QB- Roethlisberger, Rivers, Foles
RB- McCoy, Lynch, L James, Ivory, F Jackson, D Thomas, Turbin
WR- Julio, Bowe, D Bryant, D Jax, Amendola, Broyles, Gordon, Hill
TE- Celek, D Allen
DEF- Giants
K- Zuerlin
D- D Washington, S Weatherspoon, L Kuechly

I would do that trade. You have Big Ben collecting dust on your bench. You can use an upgrade over Lynch and Steven Jackson is a huge upgrade over Lynch.

I would do that trade for 1 for 1 and grab a waiver wire QB for the bye.

Help me out ^^

I agree with the last post just do a straight up trade. And that way when your starters have bye weeks you have a solid depth.

I would look at getting Henne and dont look back. I check out Brees Bye Week and compared it too Campbell's Schedule and Henne's Schedule

Week 11 the Raiders play @ Minn
Week 11 Chad Henne and the Dolphins play Buffalo

Enough said :)
