Last draft of the year- What do you think? WHIR

Postby mzkp54 » Wed Sep 07, 2011 8:52 pm

Had the 6th pick. 10 teams, .5 PPR. 6 point passing TD's.

Here's the early part of my draft by round:
1) Ray Rice (couldn't believe he fell to me at 6 in a PPR draft)
2) Lesean McCoy (see above)
3) Mike Wallace
4) Dwayne Bowe
5) Mario Manningham
6) Vernon Davis
7) Ben Roethlisberger
8) Peyton Manning (figured he had more upside than anyone available here, I'll potentially trade him or Big Ben later)

Here's my squad:

QB- Big Ben
RB- Rice, McCoy
WR- Wallace, Bowe, Manningham
TE- Davis
Flex- Reggie Bush?
K- Bryant
DST- Patriots

Bench:
Peyton Manning (best backup QB ever)
Mike Tolbert
James Starks
Ronnie Brown
AJ Green
Roy Williams

What do you think? Please leave a link so I can return the favor.

Thanks in advance

your starting lineup is very solid with few holes. you should easily be able to fill your flex with the committee of Bush, Tolbert and Starks. Green is the wildcard. and if peyton gets healthy, you've got some great trade bait in ben.

all in all, a good draft for you.

lil' help

pretty good draft in a PPR. I'm not the biggest fan of Bowe, because his reception and yardage totals are a bit disproportionate to his TD totals; i.e. TD's are more or less unpredictable, it's catches and yards that mark a great receiver. Definitely good RB flex options between Reggie, Tolbert and Starks, based on matchups. I'd probably dump AJ Green as that team is terrible, IMO. Rookie QB throwing to a rookie WR... ehhhh :-t

Great looking team - especially if Manning can get on the field. I like Ben, but he's not the best in a ppr league. He'll definitely work until Manning can get back on the field though. Your starters are very solid and so is your bench. Nice draft - especially getting Rice and McCoy with the 6th pick.

^ Not sure how PPR influences QB rankings.

Two top 5 RBS in a ppr...solid.
Good QB situation, Peyton is just undervalued coming into the season and I think he'll be healthy for the most part. Worst case, he's hurt a couple of games.
Definitely concerns over Bowe...tough schedule, extremely run oriented offense, addition of Breaston, loss of Weis. That said, I would want to buy low for him in a trade.
Flex is not a worry, you can do a committee or you'll find a permanent fix of the wire.

Thanks for the help. Wow very strong team. Can't believe you grabbed Rice 6 and got Mccoy in the 2nd round in a PPR league 0_o

I've heard good things about Reggie. Hopefully he will be a decent flex start. I'm kicking myself for not grabbing Peyton really late too. Great move! Good luck man your team is really strong.

I really like your team here, esp with Reggie Bush as your flex in a PPR.
I'm amazed that you got both Ray Rice and LeSean Mccoy...

I think Big Ben has a lot more passing options this year than he has in the past so he's a good choice while we hope for Peyton to get back; and with the RB's you got,
you can't complain at all.

I think your WR's are good and you have some decent options on your bench but I'm not a fan of Bowe this year but with green and williams you can fill in if you need a better matchup.

Nice draft.
