Draft One. WHIR 100%!

Postby Conrax » Thu Sep 08, 2011 1:17 am

This is most recent draft that just finished like 15 minutes ago

This is a 16 teams,H2H Points, 4 Keeper,Auction Draft of $200.

Kept four players before the draft:
Arian Foster, Hou RB $28
Ahmad Bradshaw, NYG RB $16
Dez Bryant, Dal WR $17
Darren McFadden, Oak RB $6

Like 11 QBs were also kept before the draft (and one guy kept trying to have 3 QBs (kept Romo, Drafted Peyton for $25)) which drove up prices on the other QBs. There were some other douchbag moves that were made, but I digress. Any suggestions or useful commentary is appreciated.

Basic Scoring
Pass TDs = 4
PPR = 1

Defensive Player Scoring:
Each Sack (SK) 1
Interception Return TD (INTTD) 6
Fumble Return TD (FRTD) 6
Blocked Punt or FG return for TD (BLKKRTD) 6
Blocked Punt, PAT or FG (BLKK) 2
Each Interception (INT) 3
Each Fumble Recovered (FR) 3
Each Fumble Forced (FF) 2
Each Safety (SF) 2

Stuffs (SF) 1
Passes Defensed (PD) 1

It's a lot to digest, but I think it is safe to say that outside of QB you have a monster team. Barring injury, no one is going to come close to your RBs (would have been nice to have Tate or M. Bush). Both of your receivers have top-20 potential this year. Your tight-end is about to have a break-out season. So, yeah, you are pretty stacked at the starting positions.

It is difficult to know what you are going to get out of Kolb. I think he is a good QB, especially in a 16-team league. He will get the ball to Fitz and it's not like Breaston is irreplaceable as a second receiver for that team. The addition of Taylor also gives a good 3rd-down pass catcher out of the backfield.

Your bench is the main area of worry. You don't have handcuffs to RBs that have injury concerns going into the season. While Tolbert should be decent, the timeshare and eventual Matthews take-over will be a problem in terms of consistency. You have a good backup TE and WRs, so that is a strength. You just don't have much in the way of RB security.

Overall, if you are able to avoid injuries you are in great shape. For a 16-team league, you have a very strong contender. I would just take a look at the free agents and see if any of your RB handcuffs are available.

Please take a look at my league if you have a second. I'm trying to figure out who has the best team.
