Holmes and Ochocinco Trade... WHIR 100%

Postby TheBambino » Thu Sep 08, 2011 7:39 am

Im at a loss here... Need some help please!

I give: Holmes
I get in return: Ochocinco and Hightower

Id probably be dropping Green or Edwards.... to make room for the 2for1..

What should I do? ... Im looking for a good flex guy and I think Hightower is him and Ocho is good value if he can get it going with Brady...

Leave a link,, Ill get yours!

Thanks

I would definitely make that move. Compare Holmes and Ochocinco's 2010 seasons:

Holmes: 52 rec, 746 yds, 6 TDs (12 games)
Ocho: 67 rec, 831 yds, 4 TDs (14 games)

Those are pretty comparable. Holmes' numbers likely go up a bit, but he's still playing in the same system. Ocho, on the other hand, makes the move from CIN to NE. Getting Ocho, with Hightower as bonus? Accept that offer yesterday.

Do this deal--you'd be replacing Holmes' value with Ochocinco and then get another scoring upgrade in Hightower. Help with mine? viewtopic.php?t=495150

No way would I do this deal. Chad Johnson is not going to have a good year this year. He is not the same receiver as he was 3 years ago and isn't doing well in the Patriots offense. Additionally Brady will be throwing the ball to his tight ends in the redzone and welker between the 20s. Let alone the fact that he still has woodhead and Branch.

Yes there numbers are comparable from last year, but Holmes had never played with Sanchez before. At the end of the year Holmes was a top 10 targeted reciever and with Braylon gone even more balls will go Holmes' way.

And as good as Hightower looks, you can't trust shanahan to stick with one rb.

I'd stick with what you have

I'd make the deal I do believe Holmes is going to have a better year than OchoCinco but since you only start 2 wr your pretty much set there, and I love the fact that you get Hightower all reports coming out of redskins camp say he looks great and I don't see another rb taking his job. He makes a great flex play.
