Felix Jones or Steve Johnson @ Flex Week 1? *WHIR*

I agree with alot of what has been said. The Jets D is nasty and Romo isnt going to be able to throw down the field that easy with the jets lock down corners. They also bring alot of pressure on the QB so i can see Romo throwing screens to felix and hitting him in the flats for quick plays.

Steve on the other hand, KC's defense isnt that bad. Could he have a big game, yes. Do i trust him to, NO! I have him on one of my teams and hes my biggest concern on my team at the WR3 spot.

Go with the proven. We know the Jets arent gonna let Romo throw for big yards so Felix is my pick.

So here's another question for ya ... my two starting WR's are Santonio Holmes & Dez Bryant, since like you said, Romo probably wont be able to throw the long ball, do you think I should start Steve Johnson instead of Dez Bryant? and then start Felix in my Flex.

Thanks for the help with mine. I happen to have Felix on my roster this year, and I bought the hype because of a couple of things - this time, he's not sharing carries with anyone, he's the lead dog. Secondly, that offense is built to spread the field and get the ball to playmakers in space. Third, he's not giving up red zone touches to Choice or Murray. He's a true feature back for the first time this year. He's not a between the tackles kind of guy, that 's the kind of RB the Jets just eat up. Add that to the preference for RB's over WR's at the flex, and I'm rolling with Felix on this one. Good luck!

Another vote for Felix. Due to the increased touches, I almost always prefer a RB over WR in a flex (unless there's a clear skill gap). The minor PPR bonus isn't enough to sway the decision. Don't overthink the power of the Jets D - even a great defense will give up 200-300 yards and a TD or two. And it looks like Felix will get his shot at a share of that.
