Looking tough right now. Luckily you had some depth, but that's about to be put to the test.
I think job security is an issue for ASmith, Collins, Grossman, Henne and McCown.
Leaving you with 2 rookie QBs. Both playing in brutal divisions. I don't hate the Panthers weapons and O-Line nearly as much as I despise the Bengals situation.
I don't think either will throw for many yards, tds, or ints. Cam's rushing numbers should be better than Dalton's. Cam also should also get to face "8 in the Box" a lot more with the Williams/Stewart tandem. I'd take a chance on Cam.
Get Cam Newton if you really feel the need of a backup QB because he should be able to give you Vince Young-like starter stats. Regardless, just roll with Stafford and hope for the best.

I am all in on Stafford this year I think you will be fine. (personally still carrying Fitzpatrick based on upside and risk aversion)
If the choices you listed are all that is available I would roll the dice on carrying no qb2, if hasselbeck is there he has better weapons in cj2k and britt than what is listed and plays in a more simple offense (get the ball to cj).
If you have a roster spot I say grab Vince Young and wait for Vick to get hurt. At the very least you can drop him on Staffords bye week for any qb starting that week. If it gets real ugly VY either becomes a monster starter in a great offense or a huge blue chip for the guy that drafted vick in the top 5...
