pick a WR and QB to start! WHIR!

i am in a 12 team PPR yahoo league

my options are:

maclin at the rams

julio jones at the bears

plaxico buresss at the cowboys

right now i have maclin starting. his health bothers me but hes in a nice offense

julio jones is a rookie, but matt ryan might look to throw more in game agaisnt a tough run defense

plaxico has been in kjail,b ut the cowboys gave a lot of fantasy points to wide receivers last (or so i am told)

i am really confused as all start/sit rnakings i look at vary wildly


for qb i have romo and josh freeman

i have josh freeman starting

I would go with Plax ... like you said, the Cowboys have a weak secondary, and Plax is going to be Sanchez' big target in the endzone and for long patterns.

I think Maclin is your safest play at WR. If you wanna go risk/reward, sure, it's Burress.

QB: Freeman all the way. Romo vs. the Jets defense? No thanks, I'll pass on that match-up.

I agree with the poster above. Maclin would be my choice at WR, a productive receiver in a strong offense. As for QB I would go with Freeman just because Romo is facing the Jets D.

I can't trust Maclin until I see some production, he has missed a bunch of time.....Go with Jones at WR and Freeman at QB

Matty Ice is going to be a top 5 QB this year and he is faced with the problem of getting heat of Roddy White, the way he will do that is with Julio Jones. Start him!

Freeman is your best bet QB wise. Romo could be good in weeks to come, but give it some time.

Thanks for the help with mine. I go with Maclin, because (1) starting a rookie WR in his first game on the road generally goes badly, (2) Plax is not the target for Sanchez, Santonio Holmes is, and (3) Maclin benefits from lots of single coverage with DJax on the field. Even if he isn't 100%, I'm rolling with him as long as he starts. If they talk about limiting his snaps, I actually would play Jones in front of Burress, because I think he gets more targets. Good luck!

I like Maclin, but I really like Julio Jones. He's gonna bust out opposite Roddy White. With all the attention on covering white and stopping Turner (as Chicago always concentrates on stopping him), Jones should run rampant.
