12 Team Auction League - No PPR

Postby KeithJ » Fri Sep 09, 2011 10:49 am

No PPR, pretty much standard scoring.

QB - M. Vick - Phi
RB - D. McFadden - Oak
RB - D. Williams - Car
WR - R. Wayne - Ind
WR - C. Johnson - Det
FLEX - L. Evans - Bal
TE - G. Olsen - Car
D - Chiefs
K - A. Vinatieri - Ind

QB - C. McCoy - Cle
RB - E. Graham - TB
RB - M. Barber - Chi
WR - D. Branch - NE
WR - H. Ward - Pit
D - Vikings
K - J. Feely - Ari

I pretty much spent all my cash on my starters so my bench is fairly week. If any of my guys get injured I'm pretty much done for but I do like my starters. Comments?

McFadden, Vick, and Calvin are a pretty electric combination. Of all the HBs outside of the top 6 I think McFadden is best to have. I hope you didn't pay full price for Wayne. but Collins will probably be throwing plenty - with that poor run game and the fact that they'll probably be down a lot this year - he still could have a 1000 yard season.

That Flex spot is a little week, but Evans shouldn't see as much double coverage this year and you look pretty strong everywhere else. I like McCoy as a cheap back up. Your back-up WRs will definitely be on the field a lot this year. Not bad there.

I'd look for another back-up HB. I really don't see much of a role this year for Barber and Graham. Look for someone with a larger workload to emerge early this season and sign them. You look pretty strong for a 12 team league. Not too much to worry about.

strong QB, WR1 and RB1, but DMC's injury history+your lack of bench is really worrisome
D.William is good RB2 IF he is as good as what most people predicted, however, he has not yet showed his value (well, season just started), and there's chance he might just bust.

R.Wayne, needless to say, without manning, i don't know what to do with him.

you might want switch you flex to H.ward or D. branch just for week1
L.Evans against pitts...that's just bad week.

honestly, for people who blow all their cash, i would expect some better starting team, and yet you only have 3 stud player (Vick, DMC and CJohnson, i assume with knowing manning's injury, you did get Wayne for cheap, therefore, didn't count him as a stud player)

Definitely have a chance to get in play-off if managed well, but probably not strongest team in your league.
