Who should I offer for James Starks?? [WHIR 100%]

Postby quikzy » Fri Sep 09, 2011 3:07 pm

I really want to get James Starks because I feel like the way he is playing, he will overtake Grant and have a big season. Not to mention my 3 RBs aren't guaranteed anything since they come with a lot of risk. So who should I offer him to grab James Starks? Maybe even in a package. Thanks and leave a link.

but you can just tell even from last season that starks is a bigger and more explosive back. Anyone else have any ideas who I should offer?

I really wouldn't do that.

He's not going to hit your starting roster over Bradshaw/Wells/Hightower and his team isn't really in need of anything on your bench.

I guess you could offer him Meachem and put Nelson in your WR spot to get Starks on your bench but it's an unnecessary risk to your weekly scoring

Would you guys do this trade? My league is 4 point for a throwing td.

I Give:
Aaron Rodgers
Ahmad Bradshaw
Austin Collie

He gives:
Matt Schaub
Adrian Peterson
James Starks

I would pull the trigger on that one and only because TDs are worth 4 pts.

Don't be surprised if Schaub throws for more yards than Rodgers.

It's still a downgrade at QB but you're improving a mid-2nd round Bradshaw for a top 3 pick.

Definitely worth it. Collie wont do much without Manning and while I don't think Starks will leave your bench much... he has the potential to become trade bate later on and is a good insurance policy in case any of your RBs get injured

I like that trade for AP. You get the best player out of the bunch and Schaub will be a very solid to elite QB this season.

As for trading for Starks.... buy low, sell high. You're buying him after theres been one game this season. ONE. And all the experts are talking about is how good he looked. So you, and the rest of the fantasy community, likes Starks now. You won't get him for cheap. I'd at least wait to see how your guys play in week 1 before considering trades.

Thanks for the help.
To be honest, I wouldn't make the trade. You have a very solid RB stable. If I were you, I would be more concerned with strengthening your WR's. You have two good options, but that's it. Collie may be struggling quite a bit this season w/o Manning and Amendola is hurt now. Starks has the potential to do great, but you already have 3 solid options and a decent flex in Spiller.
