The reason AP, CJ2K, Foster and RRice put up the fantasy points they do... is because if anyone is capable of cracking a tough defense... its them. Would you bench Aaron Rodgers against a Philly secondary? Nope. So do the same with Ray Rice.

Please help with mine

For first league, I don't see any problem benching Rice for Manningham. You aren't bailing on Rice just because you don't start him vs a tough Steelers run D. He is not matchup proof and Manningham should have a nice day against a very beatable skins pass D.

(I have Rice in my league and am bencing him in favour of Blount and BGE. Perhaps Vonte Leach will help, but I am not prepared to give him that much respect...yet).

As for your second league, do you have any other options as opposed to Rice or Marshall in your flex? If not go Marshall.

I just think when it comes down to it, Rice struggled heavily against a Pitt run defense that hasn't decreased in talent last year. Better matchups vs. NYG/Wash/Minn doesn't mean I'm bailing on him, just means those players (Manningham and Hightower specifically) have higher ceilings than Rice does. He'll be right back in my starting lineup week 2.

Sorry guys, going with my gut. Enjoy the pine first round pick. You won't be there often.

Yes, easily stated not a good match up for Ray Rice. But I don't know how you can even consider not starting him. He is a monster, even against tough defenses. For what should have been a first round pick, to bench him week one, where is the value there. Not even a question. He starts.
