Who wins this trade? WHIR?

Postby Da'Markus Russell » Sat Sep 10, 2011 10:32 am

Hey guys. 10 team non-PPR league, I would like to know if I should accept this trade offered to me.

I give: Arian Foster, Plaxico Burress
I get: Calvin Johnson, Felix Jones

My WR's still sucked before the the Colston injury, but now they are just abysmal. As of now, I have Percy Harvin, Santana Moss, Sidney Rice and Plaxico Burress and have desperately looking for an upgrade. Should I pull the trigger on this deal? Any advice is appreciated, thanks.

Who are your other RBs?

I think that if you have another solid RB to start along with Felix you should be good. Calvin Johnson is going to have another great year and I think the Lions are going to turn some heads.

Not to mention the issues with Foster... Help with mine? viewtopic.php?f=19&t=495525

I have very good RB's. Along with Felix, I will have Ray Rice and Bradshaw which I am more than satisfied with

You obviously have the RB depth, so go for the trade. Assuming you start 2RB and maybe a flex, you'll still be fine losing Foster.

I would do this deal in a minute. With Foster's questionable health and I think Felix Jones is going to have a real good year I would do it for sure.

I like it... Sounds like you have other decent RBs or you wouldnt be considering the trade.

Calvin is a huge upgrade and Plax isn't that big of a loss.

I'd do it..

execute the trade. you're gaining peace of mind in a weekly must start WR1. Plax is just a garbage throw in ... I wouldn't loose a bit of sleep over tossing him into that mix.

How did you end up with Arian Foster and Ray Rice in the same draft? I like the deal but I would much rather keep the Foster/Rice backfield and pickup possibly Meachem or Jordy Nelson off the waiver wire. I agree that Felix should have a great year and Calvin Johnson is arguably the best WR in fantasy but giving up a top 3 (possibly #1) RB is not always a wise choice. Foster is pretty much the exclusive back for the Texans which means he is on the field between the 20s and in goalline situations. I would ride it out with Foster and try and make a trade for a lesser WR using one of your other expendable backs.

For this trade, my opponent is getting more reluctant to do it and is saying I should offer a better WR to make it fairer. If I gave up Sidney Rice instead of Plaxico, should I still do this?
