WIth Clark's garbage QB situation I'm worried his season will be a lot of yesterday: 4 pointers. A lot of high upside guys are available on my wire, so I'm curious if you guys would grab any of these guys and dump lee evans (my worst bench player) Here's who's available: Greg Olsen Aaron Hernandez Dustin Keller Ed Dickson Fred Davis Lance Kendrick (Thinking about giving him a spot start this week, as he plays the Giants who got roasted by Davis this past week. Of course only if Bradford is healthy) Jermaine Gresham
I also have Clark, but I'm in a ppr league so it wasnt as bad.. If I had Kendricks available I'd grab him up. I also like Olsen and Dickson. Dickson is available in my league and I'm debating grabbing him. I wouldn't completely hit the panic button on Clark yet though, remember, Collins has only had 13 days to learn probably one of the most complex offense in the NFL.
I'm in the same spot. I don't know whether I'd drop Clark this soon. As someone else mentioned, Collins has only been with the team for less than two weeks. Of course, that doesn't instill great confidence in him, but Clark was not merely a product of Manning.
That said, if you have/can create an open spot on your roster, probably not a bad idea to pick up another TE. I kind of like Dickson and Gresham, but Hernandez catching balls from Brady is really tempting too. Lots of good choices out there.
Nice job picking up Hernandez. He had some pre-season hype and today he looked like the real deal. IF Clark continues to put up pedestrain numbers, you'll be glad to have Hernandez as a back up.
However, I can not stress this enough: DO NOT GIVE UP ON YOUR STUDS THIS EARLY IN THE SEASON. I know Manning is out (which is a valid concern), but every year a lot of studs start off slow but then pick it up a few weeks into the season and end up helping their teams win fantasy football trophies. Every year.
Giving up on your stud players early is a rookie mistake, trust me. I've benefitted from inexperienced or impatient players dropping their studs and me picking them up. I distinctly remember someone dropping Greg Jennings after three bad weeks, and then he was $$$ for me the rest of the year. Even the great Ladanian Tomlinson in his prime started off poorly a year or two. It happens. Be patient with your studs or you'll regret it.
