Someone dropped P. Manning, should I pick him up?

Postby combat Johnny » Mon Sep 12, 2011 11:11 pm

Someone dropped Peyton Manning and I was wondering if you guys think I should snatch him up. My starting QB is Schaub right now. I would just be holding onto him until he got healthy, is it worth the waiver, or should try to improve my bench a little more with some other players?

Regular Yahoo PPR league

QB- Schaub
WR- Roddy White
WR- Calvin Johnson
WR- Wes Welker
RB- Peyton Hillis
RB- A. Bradshaw
TE- Pettigrew
K- Cundiff
DEF- New England

Bench
WR- Roy Williams
WR- Danny Amendola
TE- Lance Kendricks
RB- Ryan Matthews
RB- Brandon Jacobs
RB- Ryan Grant

If you are willing to give up a roster spot for him then make the move. There is no telling if he is going to come back this year though, which is why I think this is risky. If you do decide to add him, I would drop Roy Williams or Lance Kendricks.

Personally, I'm all out on Manning being irrelevant this season. Amendola is possibly done for the year as well, and Roy Williams is hurt too. Try to get some more receiver depth and a different backup QB.

I've got Peyton and am just about ready to drop him... but then there aren't many options on the WW to replace him anyway... so from my perspective his value is darn near minimal...

If your league has an IR spot, then it's worth the gamble. Or if you're doing a keeper league.
Otherwise, don't bother.
