So after getting victimized by that little Tom Brady clinic last night, I lost my first matchup of the season. Naturally, I'm looking at my entire roster and thinking "I'm screwed", when in reality I'm probably just fine. 12 team PPR, all td's = 6, 2 pt bonus for scoring plays over 40 yards. My roster:
QB - Ryan
RB - Rice, Felix, Jacobs, M Bush
WR - Wallace, Holmes, Britt, Amendola, Ford
TE - Daniels
DST - Chicago
K - Bironas
Ryan and Daniels were invisible this week. Half a dozen average QB's or TE's would have got me a win this week in their places. I keep telling myself don't panic on Ryan. That's the right approach, isn't it? They're going to throw plenty this year, and the scores will come. Same thing with Daniels - one week just isn't worth getting rolled up about, and he's going to get his when they play teams that have any kind of run defense (sorry Indy, that ain't you).
The question mark for me is Michael Bush. I think I expected more/different usage of him, but again one game isn't enough to call a trend. He's got huge value if DMC goes down, but if that doesn't happen is he the spot starter I thought he might be?
Available on the wire this week - Kolb, Henne, Cadillac, E Graham, D Henderson, B Gibson, L Kendricks, R Gronkowski. I like depth at RB, and in week 5 Rice and Felix are both on byes. But is dropping Bush for any of the above a good or bad move? WHIR, thanks!
