I've always been high on Beanie, and it looks like this will finally be the year that he breaks out. I'm just worried that I will be giving up too much here.
I desperately need a RB and I haven't been able to acquire one yet, it seems everyone wants to keep them. So this might be the only trade I can make. Should I make this move or back out and hope that I can find another trade partner?
Starting Roster: QB - Matt Ryan WR - Roddy White WR - Miles Austin WR - Greg Jennings RB - DeAngelo Williams RB - LeGarrette Blount TE - Jason Witten WR/RB/TE - Mike Williams
Bench: Knowshon Moreno (Den - RB) Johnny Knox (Chi - WR) Daniel Thomas (Mia - RB) Stevie Johnson (Buf - WR) Marshawn Lynch (Sea - RB)
My only fear with Wells is that Chester Taylor comes in and takes some of his go line attempts from him.
In Dallas, Austin has to share catches with Bryant and Witten but as a stud receiver based on previous years I think you might be able to get something more than Wells for him.
I think Beanie's the man in Arizona. And yes, you DO need RB help in a big way.
On your bench, you have Steve Johnson who I believe has legit chance of matching Austin's numbers. I would strongly consider this deal. You might also try to go for SJax while he's hurt. Maybe his owner is freaked? That one is fraught with risk though.
This is tough wells is the undisputed back and Taylor is washed up. Blount will not see third downs and is unreliable if TB is losing. Miles Austin has top 5 potential with Steve Johnson having similar potential...maybe not top 5 but top 10. Also as the year progresses i think Bryant will cut into Austins catches.
I like the trade. RBs win championships IMO and wells is one of the few undisputed backs left in the league.
I like the idea of trying to upgrade your RB's, but I think you could get a little more value out of Miles, keep shopping around imo. Since it is a 3-WR league, look for a team with bad WR's and try to snatch up one of their RB's.
I think its a good trade to consider seeing as how the points gained from Beanie will most likely outweigh the points lost by losing Miles Austin and replacing with Stevie.
Week 13 Roster QB Tony Romo WR1 Greg Jennings WR2 Vincent Jax RB1 Arian Foster RB2 LeSean McCoy TE Vernon Davis Flex (W/R/T) Willis McGahee K Billy Cundiff DST GB IDP Patrick Willis BEN Roy Helu BEN Fred Davis BEN Stevie Johnson BEN Pitt D/ST
You can definitely get more out of Austin then Beanie Wells. I can see why you would want to do this but see if you can get a little more like another WR back to go along with Wells. The only problem with Wells is that Chester Taylor is now in the backfield so who knows what may happen but Taylor could take away goal-line carries from Wells.
I'd do it. This is gonna give you White, Jennings and Stevie @ WR which I love. And it gives you a large-size upgrade at RB. My only concern is that you're out of trade bait pretty much. With your WRs, I might try White for like Rice, Charles or Dmac. that gives you an extra-large upgrade at RB, you'd have Williams or Blount at #2 and could still start Jennings, Johnson and Austin which does NOT suck. If you haven't tried White or Jennings for a top 6 or 7 RB I think I'd try it. If that won't fly this is better than what you have now. Thanks for your help on mine. Good luck!
i can see why you'd want to upgrade your RB's.... and your pretty deep at WR.
BUT, i like Austin. The Cowboys with Romo and up there imo with GB and NO in terms of there passing game.... and Austin is romo's go to guy. Also, Beanie has had durability issues dating back to College.... 1good game against a suspect Carolina D, i wouldnt jump the guy just yet.....shop around Austin, u may be able to get better.
