Drop Manning for Fitz/Newton?

Ok so i drafted Peyton Manning a few weeks ago in the 7th round... knew it was a risk, but at the spot it was a high risk/reward type of move. Well it has ended up seeming like a bust move.

Right now I have Ben Rothelisberger as my starter, and he will likely start weekly for me barring injury or trade.
My question is.... should I drop manning and pickup a serviceable QB2 like Fitzpatrick/Newton/Grossman/ or should i stash him on one of my 2 IR spots? I also had Amendola go down and am pursuing meachem/s.moss/henderson as replacements.

Is this for Keeper? If so stash Peyton and pick up Fitzpatrick. If not I would probably pick up Fitzpatrick and drop Peyton, because if this week was any indication of what Indy does without Peyton then when Peyton comes back they will be out of the playoffs making it no reason for the Colts to start Peyton. Fitzpatrick will be more consistent then Newton. Newton will have a harder schedule and that was his first real start against a so-so defense. He still faces Green Bay this coming week, the Saints which should prove better on defense this week, and Tampa Bay.

drop Manning/Amendola, pick up Fitzpatrick/Henderson (or moss). I just say Henderson because of the Saints offense and his week 1 performance. You will have to consider that Lance Moore will be back in the next week or two as well. Amendola might be worth keeping if the MRI comes back negative and if return yards count in your league...

Since its not a keeper league I would drop Manning for Fitz in a heartbeat. Fitzpatrick might end up having more points than Ben this year if that Bills offense is even semi real, and if its not they will be behind and throwing making him a decent fantasy option. He has a beast in Stevie Johnson to catch TDs and grabbing him now can only help you especially in lieu of Manning.

thanks for the feedback all...

i decided to place Manning on 1 of my 2 IR slots for now...hopefully my roster stays healthy (knock on wood) and i dont have to worry about cutting him.I placed a WW bid on Fitzpatrick and a secondary claim for Newtown in case Fitz falls through.

I also Kept Amendola around for now( depending on who gets picked up on WW) and decided to place a claim in for
Santana Moss with secondary claims in for Meachem and Henderson incase Moss goes b4 my turn..and will drop Braylon Edwards for one of them.

I'd hold until there is a definitive answer on Manning or if Indy tanks too many games early.

But...

If one of those guys has a favorable match-up during Ben's bye week, I might have to think about it sooner than later.

I like the idea of placing Manning on the IR, and grabbing Fitzpatrick.

Then dropping Amendola for Moss.
