RB Concerns

Postby Wolfpac11680 » Wed Sep 14, 2011 10:06 am

1/2 PPR, 10 man league with standard scoring. My WR core is awesome (Megatron, Welker, Manningham, Stevie Johnson and Jordy Nelson), so I paid for it with my lack of RB depth. Currently my RB core consists of Gore, Greene, Lynch and Starks.

Two questions:

1. Would you trade Stevie J and Starks for Blount and AJ Green?
2. Would you drop Lynch for Deji Karim just to stash on my bench in case MJD goes down?

Thanks!!!!!

1) No. I think Starks and Blount are actually pretty close, especially in a PPR, and I'd rather have Stevie than Green as well and it's not terribly close. I think you'll be plenty fine with Gore and a matchup play at RB2 and I think Starks will continue to impress/surprise you.

2) I'd rather have a starting back on a crappy team than questionable handcuff where you don't even own the big dog of the offense in question. Karim is a nice snag in a deep league, but I don't think you want to drop a guy with 20-carry upside - albeit on a crappy offense, etc. - for a guy with limited upside, especially when it's for your RB3/4 spot ...
